Mulching is the natural, one-step solution to frost-damage, weed-suppression and soil-improvement, all in one.
I can't seem to keep on top of weeding and I'm hesitant to use harmful chemicals.
I know my garden needs to be mulched, but I have no idea how to start or how much to order.
I can't physically move the amount of mulch that needs to be installed in my garden beds.
I don't have the time to organise, deliver, install and spread the mulch myself.
Don't worry, we can help!
🏡
Consult
We provide an on-site consultation to see how we can help and how much mulch is required.
🔎
Research
We then research which type of mulch will be best aligned with your preferred style and desired properties.
📝
Quote
Before any work commences, we send you a detailed quote, to ensure our plan matches to your expectations.
👨💻
Organise
Once the quote is approved, we organise the mulch through one of our premium suppliers.
🚛
Deliver
We then deliver the mulch directly to your property at a date and time that is convenient to you.
Install
We install and spread the mulch so you can enjoy your garden and know you're protecting it at the same time.
...
The price will depend primarily on 3 factors: which type of mulch you choose; how large the mulched area is; and how easily the area can be accessed is from the street (where the mulch will be delivered).
As every job's requirements are unique, there is no one-size-fits-all pricing structure, however the on-site consultation allows us to provide you with a written quote, with no surprise costs.
Usually a couple of hours to a day. Depending on the size of the property and the amount of mulch, we can ensure we allocate an appropriate number of workers to get it done quickly so you can enjoy your garden with minimal disruptions.
Absolutely. Given the nature of mulch, while it can be messy to install, the large particles make it a breeze for us to clean up afterwards, which is all included in the price.
Dyed mulches, however, can stain concrete in certain circumstances, so if you would specifically like a dyed mulch, we can organise additional protection to minimise the risk.
It depends on which type of mulch you're having installed.
Larger-particle mulches will break down more slowly than smaller-particle mulches, however all mulches will tend to lose their colour and vibrance over time. As a general rule, you want your mulch deep enough to suppress weeds, but shallow enough to ensure water can still reach the soil; approximately 50-100mm. Keep an eye on those levels and re-mulch as required.
If only!
Although mulch will help prevent as many weeds germinating than without, some weeds can germinate in the absence of light. Some weeds only require moisture, oxygen and the correct temperature to germinate. Although mulching will cut down the amount of weeds appearing, you might still need to pull the odd weed or two after mulching.
